I'm not allowed to swear here, or else I would!
Do we really need anymore sensationalist titles to Apple related 'issues'? I've had enough between alleged iPhone and iTunes Store problems in the past week.
People, take a chill pill before heading up posts! At least before the bozos in the media get ahold of more gubbins!

Who is General Sentiment? Is he in charge of the mobile wars? ...You completely misunderstand. General Sentiment is not a who; General Sentiment is a what. What General Motors is to automobiles and General Electric is to electric devices, General Sentiment is to sentiments. However, General Sentiment has taken it on the chin in recent years because Asian manufacturers now produce cheap sentiment imports. GS has fought back by outsourcing sentiments to factories in China, Mexico, and South Africa. However, the unionized American sentiment worker produces world-class sentiments at a competitive price.

Actually it feels fine in lecture. Though I must admit I'man upper classman, so all my courses are like 30 people max, and they're all in my department at this point. As to the 2GB RAM question, well I don't know cause i've still only got 512 in this beast (soon to have another gig on order) and I know that the mac chokes a bit on not having enough memory when I've got a bunch of things open. The only reason I know it's memory bound is my old dual 867 Mac handles some things better than my powerbook does, and the only difference is my powerbook is lacking in RAM.

I'm looking at upgrading my Mac Mini to 8GB of RAM (from 4). I checked out the Apple store (eeek, I know) and it was around $600 CDN for the 8GB of RAM!!!!
Question, though...based on what I know of the type of RAM in the mini, I can purchase some non-Apple branded RAM form my local computer store for about $100.
I know Apple is over-priced, but this is insanely over-priced.
Apple prides itself at charging the highest prices of all.

Gotcha, didn't know that.
Sorry for the short answer. Was posting from my phone, and it sounds my post seems a bit rude re-reading it.
Some other process is getting in the way. In a previous thread http://forums.macrumors.com/showpost.php?p=11731359&postcount=26 some Western Digital software was responsible.
mjwatt29, can you post the full Winclone.log as an attachment. I was able to suss it out in that other case given the full log file.

Couldn't agree more. I don't see why you have to hate another network, is their competitor paying you off or what? If you like yours awesome, if you hate another wtf cares?
I think Verizon is great and has never let me down even when I have traveled into some pretty rural areas. I like to join in on the whole Verizon vs. AT&T battle just for fun. I can't believe people are so serious about it. Lighten up and use whatever works for you.

Apple should just let this slide. Seriously, it's Javascript.
That's because they don't want any competition with safari so they force them to remove a major function
It's ridiculous that apple would do this

Well I've got iOS 4.2.1 on an iPod touch 4g, and I jailbroke it with the latest greenpoison jb so it didn't have to be tethered, and terminal just crashes right after I start it. When it was jailbroken tethered the terminal didn't work either; I'm guessing it's just not compatible with 4.2.1?
Edit: I just checked what version and what repo it was from: it was Cydia/telesphoreo, version 364.1-10. I also noticed it was designed for iOS 3 so I just got rid of it. Where can I ge a iOS 4 compatible terminal?
Saurik actually fixed a version, but it's sort of a beta so its not published; it's only available as a .deb file:
http://apt.saurik.com/debs/mobileterminal_364.3-12_iphoneos-arm.deb
If you have iFile or OpenSSH installed, you can use them to install it. Let me know if you need instructions.
Otherwise there are others in various non-standard Cydia repositories, which you would have to add to Cydia:
http://cydia.myrepospace.com/iDignify/ (which hasn't been working lately)
or
http://www.podzombie.com/repository/
but Saurik's actually has more features, despite the lower version number.

My local Best Buy does store bundles, but it's a simple plastic strap holding a console together with an extra controller. Slip the controller out, discard the strap, and voila, you've got a bare console.
My GF actually wanted a PS3 with a spare controller, but not in any of the colors that were bundled. So we slipped out the black controller and inserted a pink controller. No problems.

Export to Quicktime presentation, install Quicktime on PCs.
edit: kayjprod beat me to it.
This method has a lot of drawbacks.
First, it generates huge files. All transitions are movies rather than a slide that is just rotated by a graphics program.
Second, You loose a lot of control over the presentation. Flipping back and forth between slides, cursor control, animation timing, etc.
Third, The final movie never looks as good for some reason. Maybe it is just a matter of changing parameters somewhere but my files are huge and my transitions, slides, fonts, etc. don't look as high res or clear.
I agree that Keynote needs a freely distributable player like PowerPoint has. This would allow you to send the condensed slide-only file to the OS X or Windows user and he or she would have the same control and effects over the presentation as in Keynote. QT just isn't the same as the PowerPoint freely distributed player on Windows.

I honestly havnen't had good luck with the mac clients. I LOVE the GPU clients on regular PC's. There is just so much more PPD available with a GPU client.
Zack
yeah, i've had bad luck with the mac clients also. i would try the GPU clients, but my video card isn't supported.

The only applications that might use this are military applications. Which are most likely classified applications. But in short, no, a normal application wouldn't use it. ;)
Depends on what you call normal.

Not 100% sure what you're looking for. Are you looking to extract the values from the picker or overlay the labels.
I want that:
if value in the first component is cars, the second component is mustang the fisrst label must show "1970" and the second label must show "v8"
thanx
