prevailing wage calculations for EB-2 applications to be filed for Sr. Systems Analyst and Sr. Software Engineer. As of January 1, 2010, these wage requests have to be filed using US DOL�s electronic iCert system. For the past couple of years, the NJ DOL had given us LEVEL II wages for these positions. Now, US DOL is giving us LEVEL III wages for these positions which is at $102,274
EB-2 Software Engineer/Systems Analyst LEVEL III at $102,274 , or file under EB-2 ITPM LEVEL II at $116,501
I wanted to confirm whether these wage Calculations Declared by DOL are correct to file for EB2 category and do we need to quote such high salary ranges.I have master's degree plus 5+years of Experience in IT field.So, i will qualify for EB2 category but only wanted to confirm whether the wages declared by DOL were correct in respect to Jan 2010
Anyone or the concerned attorney can you please clarify on this.

1500 H-1Bs were claimed in the last week and just over 20,000 remain for the fiscal year. Based on a four week rolling average (1175), I am projecting the target will be exhausted in 17 weeks which will be February 23, 2011. Previously, I had been projecting March, but the overall usage of H-1Bs has been somewhat busier in the last month than in previous months. i've been in the US on a f-1 visa since 2006. i am getting my masters at the moment. i am planning on getting married to my girlfriend who is a US citizen. i have been with her for the past 2 years and am dearly in love with her. we plan on getting married and i was wondering if i get married to her, can i apply for a green card right away or do i have to wait for a while before i can apply for a green card. she is also a student getting her bachelors.
my second question is that if i can apply for a green card then could i take a semester off and return to studying next semester or would that be a problem since i am on an F-1 visa.
i would appreciate it if i could get an answer soon so that i could take the semester off.

hi
we are paying social security and medicare taxes where as we are not entitle to any of this benefits. they are taking this taxes based on giving permanent status but they have slowed green card processing near to impossible. that's fine, but taking social security taxes is not right when we are certainly not going to part of that system.
they must stop those taxes till green card is processed.

Now a days VFS is not releasing appointment dates more than 2 - 2.5 weeks in advance. I am not aware of any specific time of the day when these become available.

Yes, it uses the same mount. Newer lenses usually have more data that is passed to the camera body such as distance, etc.. I'm not a Nikon person anymore, so double check of course!

As pappu stated in the first post of the above referenced thread - some of the ongoing efforts include finding how many IV members would get benefit from such a provision and get basic details such as username/Priority Date of impacted members. Future action items might include drafting documents and letters to support this provision. There maybe actions such as sending emails etc. However we would not be able to open a public action item unless we can have thousands of our members willing to participate in a grassroots action item. This survey intends to understand the needs of our membership for this provision and collect grassroots information.
The fact is we have a dedicated group of volunteers (and we need more) who have been trying their best to spread the message about this initiative so that a strong grass-roots support can be created leading up to launch of the public action items. So far we have around 1100 people who have responded. Based on quick calculations carried out using PERM data, it is estimated that there are at least 60K-70K EB applicants waiting to file I-485/EAD/AP (this is a very conservative estimate..the actual number could be much more). Grass-roots initiatives require time and patience and we request maximum number of impacted folks to participate actively.

If my priority date is current based on March visa bulletin, till what date can I file for my 485? Do I have time until end of April?
You can file anytime after your dates are current.. Just don't take too long though, Remember if the dates retrogress again, then might get out of luck! Again!! So file it right away if you can...

Are you employed by a US firm. My only concern is that if you apply from indian and are out of US for an extended period of time, USCIS may assume that you have abandoned your immigration intent.

Hello!
I was laid off from Company A on H-1B in May 09. My EB2, India, I-140 was approved in Mar 09. Since PD is not current, I-485 has not been filed yet. Here are my questions:
Can I retain my PD if Company A withdraws(worst case) my I-140 petition?
If I find employment with Company B, can I still file my I-485 using Company A's I-140 petition assuming Company A provides me with an Employment Letter for future employment?
If previous step is feasible and I-485 is approved within 180days of filing, will it pose any issues if I have to invoke AC21? (since I will be working for Company B when I file I-485 with Company A) I ask this because I have 2 yrs and 4months on my H-1B off the 6yr limit and I am afraid I might run out of H-1B time before I file I-485.
